Does your credit union sometimes find itself scrambling to learn and to keep up with all of the laws that govern your business?  Between your regulator's rules and regulations, the Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B, the Truth in Savings Act and your regulator's implementing regulations, the Electronic Funds Transfer Act and Regulation E, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and your regulator's implementing regulations, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the FTC regulations, and too many more to begin to list, how do you keep up? In fact, how do you learn these rules in the first place?

The NorthLegal Regulatory Conference is a new program jointly presented by NorthLegal Training and Publications and by credit union leagues and associations from across the country, developed to help credit union professionals to focus on, to learn the details regarding, and to comply with, the various laws that govern them.

To accomplish this, each year the NorthLegal Regulatory Conference will focus on just one or two complex laws or regulations, and will help participants thoroughly understand those laws or regulations.

For 2008, the NorthLegal Regulatory Conference will focus on two areas of law:

The Fair Credit Reporting Act
Various Privacly Laws and Regulations
